The girls host the defending Open Division Champs, Cardinal Newman, tonight at 7pm at home. Newman currently stands at 25-3 on the season and has won 18 in a row. In fact, they have not lost a game yet in 2025. CalHiSports has Newman currently ranked #20 in the state https://www.calhisports.com/2025/02/24/new-girls-bb-state-top-30-rankings-7/ . They are led by D-1 commit Kate Schat whose regarded by most as the top shooter in Northern Cal. They are an extremely well coached tough bunch.
The Lady Dons come in at 27-1 on the season (#1 seed in NCS Open), only losing to Oregon power South Medford in a showcase in early January. Our girls went undefeated in the Diablo Athletic League for the 3rd season in a row and won the league for the 4th straight season. This also makes 6 out of the last 7 years the girls have won the League (only shortened covid season). The Lady Dons also won the Platinum Division of the So Cal Holiday Prep Classic in San Diego and the Lady Cat Classic at Marin Catholic. CalHi has the girls currently ranked #9 in California.
