In a matchup of two brand-new rugby programs, the Dons Rugby Club defeated Dublin High School 40-12 in an impressive season opener. With 20 players across both squads playing rugby for the first time, the game showcased raw enthusiasm and emerging talent.

Acalanes, seeded by Lamorinda RFC, displayed early dominance thanks to standout performances from NorCal All Stars Danny Dunne (#12, Sophomore) and Thomas Parrott (#10, Junior). Dunne dazzled with four tries, demonstrating explosive power and speed, while Parrott orchestrated the game with the poise and precision of a seasoned fly-half. Liam Crinnion (#1, Junior) was tireless, popping up in attack, defense, and everywhere in between.

The next Rugby Club match is this coming Saturday 1/25 vs Bishop O’Dowd HS. This is a home game on the Acalanes Football Field. Kick off at 2:30pm.
