The Acalanes High School JV men’s soccer team earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Mount Diablo High School on Wednesday in a thrilling and well-played match.

The Dons struck first, with Karsten Harmeyer finding the back of the net 33 minutes into the match. His clever shot deflected off a defender and into the goal to give Acalanes the lead.

Early in the second half, Luca Fazio extended the lead to 2-0 with a cool finish on a penalty kick. The Dons held strong despite Mount Diablo pulling one back, securing the win with solid team play and effort.

With this victory, the Dons improve their record to 4-1-2 on the season. Up next, they travel to Emerald High School in Dublin on Thursday. Let’s keep the momentum going, Dons!
