The JV Boys Soccer team showed determination and resilience in a hard-fought 1-1 tie against Petaluma High School on Saturday.
The Dons controlled much of the first half, dominating possession and creating opportunities, but they were unable to find the back of the net.
Midway through the second half, Petaluma broke the deadlock, taking a 1-0 lead. Despite the setback, the Dons didn’t give up. In the final minutes, Kyler Roberts came through in the clutch, scoring off a well-placed corner kick to tie the game at 1-1.
Acalanes continued to press forward, looking for the go-ahead goal, but time ran out before they could find the winner.
Up next, the Dons are back home to face Sonoma Valley this Tuesday at 5 PM. Come out and cheer them on! Go Dons!
