The Varsity Water Polo Team headed to Walnut Creek to face the Northgate Broncos. The Lady Dons started off strong with junior Ella Del Rosario scoring the first three goals of the game in the first few minutes. Junior Olivia Whipple scored her first goal of the game followed by one more Aca goal by sophomore Finley Graff and the quarter ended with a great save by sophomore goalie Adelyn Horciza and a 5-0 Dons lead.

Quarter 2 started with a great steal by junior Sara Williams that led to another goal by Ella Del Rosario. Another great save by Adelyn Horciza gave Aca possession which was quickly converted to another Aca goal by Ella Del Rosario. On the next possession, junior Siena La Rotunda passed the ball into Finley Graff who was able to capitalize giving the Lady Dons one more tally mark. Freshman Malin Stone ended the quarter by faking out the Northgate goalie and scoring her first of the game to give Acalanes a 9-0 lead at the half.

Northgate came out on fire at the beginning of the 3rd quarter! Acalanes scored the first goal of the quarter but Northgate scored the next two. Malin Stone sent another to the twine but Northgate wasn’t giving up and ended the quarter with one more and a score of 11-3.

The fourth quarter started with several great saves by Freshman goalie Lucy McShane. Lots of great attempts by Acalanes players, but Northgate continued to play hard and scored two more goals. Freshman Lily Briones walked the ball and shot it with authority to add one more for the Dons. Siena La Rotunda made a great steal which led to another great goal by Olivia Whipple! Northgate scored the last goal of the game, but the Lady Dons were victorious with a score of 13-7.
