GAME SUMMARY
After Acalanes threw an interception on play 3 of its opening drive, our defense played tough and reciprocated with its own takeaway and intercepted the ball on the 1-yard line stopping Del Oro from being the 1st team to score.
4 plays later, #6 WINKLES connects with #1 GONZALES for a 74-yard TD.
Del Oro then drove down the field from their own 25 with a 9-play drive resulting in Del Oro’s 1st touchdown tying the score at 7-7.
Acalanes next drive resulted in a lost fumble when #6 WINKLES was sacked for the 1st time this year.
Del Oro scored next with a long 41-yard Field Goal by #18 BOSTON KELLY. #18 kicked a 2nd field goal 27-yards long in the 4th quarter as well.
8 plays later, Acalanes took back the lead as #6 WINKLES connected with his reliable Slot Receiver #18 WHITE for 22-yard TD.
Acalanes went into half time with a 14-10 lead over Del Oro.
Acalanes kicked off to start the 3rd quarter off and Del Oro came out to play in the 2nd half. Del Oro scored on their next 3 drives and Acalanes did not have enough time left in the game to bounce back.
ACALANES HIGHLIGHTS
