The JV Girls Tennis team faced Miramonte Tuesday afternoon in their first league match and continued the strong play they have shown so far this season!  Overall, the match ended up tied at 6-6, but the Dons had the edge, taking 2 of the 4 singles matches and the first three lines of doubles matches.

In singles, our lineup was Audrey Tseng at line 1, Phoebe LaBonge at line 2, Jasmine Taylor at line 3, and Lily Foster at line 4.  On the doubles side, our roster included Lauren Anderson, Maddie Obertello, Lotta Griemens, Alessa Smith, Ash Dawkins, Delphine Fisher, Parker Ivory, Livvy Lewis, Gemma Satterfield, Ava Bell, Daisy Carysforth, Nina Fairman, Beatrice Deignan, Olivia Bernier, Ruby Peters, and Lulu Lancour.  

Audrey Tseng pulled off a fantastic singles win, taking the match to a tiebreak and winning 9-8!  Jasmine Taylor also had a decisive victory, with a score of 8-2.  Phoebe LaBonge and Lily Foster also played wonderfully in singles in hard fought matches.  

In doubles, the first three teams notched comfortable wins against the Mats – Lauren Anderson & Maddie Obertello won 8-5, Lotta Griemens & Alessa Smith won 8-3, and Ash Dawkins & Delphine Fisher also won 8-3.  Gemma Satterfield & Ava Bell also were victorious in their match, with a score of 8-5.  

It was great to have all of our coaches – Lee Ann, Gary, and Lynn – on hand for support and advice!  Next up for the JV team is a match at Campolindo on Thursday afternoon.  Go Dons!
