The JV team is now 4-0 after they beat College Park 27-7 on Friday! College Park took a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter, but the Dons then scored 27 unanswered points. It took a team effort for this win — 11 offensive players touched the ball, and 18 different players made tackles or interceptions on defense.
#11 Anthony Quinn “A.Q.” is fired up after a tackle. A.Q. was named MaxPreps Defensive Player of the Game this week with 7 total tackles (3 solo and 4 asst).
#62 John Nicolini played both ways and had 5 tackles (1 solo, 4 asst), 2 tackles for loss, and a SACK. Great game for Nicolini!
#12 Shea Stahl, MaxPreps Offensive Player of the Game, had 55 rushing yards, 18 receiving yards, a rushing touchdown, and an extra point. He also made two tackles on defense.
#9 Rocco Stassi had an 11-yard rushing touchdown!
#77 Danny Dunne was named MaxPreps Overall Player of the Game. In addition to his 6 tackles on defense (3 solo, 3 asst), Dunne also showed up as QB in wildcat formation and scored another touchdown for the Dons!
Here’s #22 Bryce Mansour, MaxPreps Special Teams Player of the Game. Mansour had an interception, 22 rushing yards, and 18 receiving yards.
#14 Caleb Mason scored the final touchdown of the game, followed by a two-point conversion, putting the Dons ahead 27-7.
The defense showed up big the entire game. The following players also had tackles to stop the opponents from scoring: #6 Andrew Iams, #55 Cash Ricker (plus a fumble recovery), #54 John MacLeod, #31 Hugo Perez, #3 Grant Condy, #20 Sam Phillips, and #2 Camden Sinha.
