Under the warm sun of Hercules, the JV Softball Dons fought hard to propel themselves to victory over the Hercules Titans. 

Jill Pierce drove in 5 runs on 3 hits to lead the Dons past the Titans 20-16. She collected 2 singles and a triple, and Margaux Stone also chipped in with 3 hits of her own. Overall, the Dons collected 10 hits, and demonstrated a keen eye at the plate as they drew eight walks. Amelia Riley led the team with three walks and a hit-by-pitch while scoring 4 runs. 

In the 4th inning, the Dons yielded the lead to the Titans, but in the 5th inning the Dons came roaring back with singles by Leia Pham and Everest Tomasello to drive in 3 of the 5 runs in the inning. 

The Titans would not back down and captured the lead again as the game headed into the 6th inning. The Dons stood strong and scored 5 runs on 6 hits with the biggest blow being a triple by Pierce to plate 2 runs. Heading into the bottom of the 6th, the Dons pitching and defense held up to not allow any more runs. 

Today was a wonderful victory for the JV team…GO DONS!
