The Dons took on Campolindo but could not cage the Cougars in a tough match this past Friday night. The first half was dominated by an unrelenting Cougar offensive that put the Dons defense into overdrive. In the second half, the Dons defense held Campo to just 3 goals but the offense coudn’t quite catch up from the deficit from the first half. The night was not without its highlights. Junior Alex Cortez contributed as a fearless and aggressive midfielder who caused some important turnovers which resulted in a goal for the Dons. Marshall Anderson scored 2 for goals and junior Griffin Rotondo and freshman Caleb Mason scored in the second half. Junior Val Grossi had 16 saves at goal. The boys Varsity team will take on University High this Wednesday at home and then Casa Grande on Saturday on the road.
