It was a busy day at the Heaston Aquatic Center on Thursday afternoon as the Dons hosted a very large, very strong Cougar swim team. After such a strong showing at the Mission Viejo Invitational last weekend, it’s pretty normal not to see many improved times after such a fast and competitive meet. Campo’s swim team is very strong since their pool is home to the year-round swim team Orinda Aquatics, so many of those strong swimmers also swim for Campo.
Once again, three of the four Medley Relays went CONS again – Taryn Veronda, Anna Motes, Kendall Lee and Liv Hoppe went 1:53.63 – just 1.01 sec off an NCS Automatic time! Brooklyn Plomp, Audrey Martin, Tess Veronda and Sara Williams went 2:00.07 (CONS cutoff 2:04.99). The boys A team of Mason Schlehr, Will Dreyer, Tony Yamamoto, and Alex Butler went 1:49.54 (CONS is 1:52.99), while the B team of Will Paulsen, Jayden Hwang, Tyler Gerhardt and Jace Carter JUST missed CONS with 1:53.09.

The 50 Free saw a lot of improved times for our JV swimmers! In the Varsity races, Sadie Suppiger finished 2nd with a CONS time of 54.71, Taryn Veronda went 5th with 57.35 while Sophie Hendrickson was 6th with 58.00.
