The Lady Dons hit the road to Marin last night playing in Marin Catholic’s Lady Cat Classic. In the first round the girls faced a solid Saint Ignatius squad. After a sluggish first quarter where the Dons held on to a modest lead, the girls exploded in the 2nd. At halftime it was 43 to 20 Dons. SI would not go away and kept fighting until the end. Final score was 65 to 51 Dons. KK Lacanlale scored 20 points to go along with 7 assists to lead the way. Arina Hallstrom added 15, Sophie Chinn scored 9 to go along with a massive game in the steals and rebounding categories, Dulci Vail had 8 and Natalie Frechman rounded out the scoring with 7 points.
The girls play the hosts Marin Catholic tonight at 8pm in Round 2.
