The Varsity Boys Soccer began their 2023-24 season with a scrimmage against Richmond High. The team was short-handed due to football commitments and center back, Eitan Romick, out with a season ending injury. But the team held their own as Evan Sverak played keeper for the first time with Varsity and Jonny Roth anchoring the backline, distributing the ball to the wings. Ben Pecci energized the team by dribbling into box to score their first goal of the season. Lucian Krage-Zillas scored another goal off a corner kick. The game ended in a late goal for Richmond. Dons lost 2-3. It was a good start for this young team. Looking forward to upcoming games: Thursday, Nov 30 scrimmage at De La Salle, 6:30pm, Saturday, Dec 2 at University High 3:00pm, Tuesday, Dec 5 first HOME game against San Ramon Valley, 715pm.
