The Lady Dons hit the road to Danville to take on the Monte Vista Mustangs Tuesday.  The Mustangs were defending NCS D1 Champs and came in ranked #11 in the greater Bay Area by the Mercury News.  It didn’t take long for our girls to assert themselves behind relentless full court pressure and superior team speed.  At the end of the 1st quarter it was 30 to 5 Dons.  The lopsided nature of the contest continued until the end with the Dons recording a fairly easy 90 to 28 Foundation Game victory.  KK Lacanlale recorded 9 assists from her PG role.  Meanwhile all 5 starters, Ariana Hallstrom, Natalie Frechman, Sophie Chinn, Dulci Vail and KK Lacanlale all scored in double figures for the night.  Both Cameron Thornton and Addi Ames provided a nice defensive spark for the Dons.

Up next the girls face a highly regarded Antelope squad in the Pinole Valley Shootout on Saturday.
