Frosh Football On a Roll

The Freshman football team continues to dominate as they walked away with a 38-8 win against College Park last Thursday night. The Dons are undefeated thus far with a 5-0 record. Let’s go Dons!

Getting right down to business, Acalanes scored on the first drive of the game and successfully converted for 2-points immediately putting the Dons up 8-0.

Between a first-quarter interception by Shea Stahl (#1), a Tyler Winkles (#5) to Grant Condy (#88) touchdown, and a 2-point conversion pass to Jackson Boselli (#31) the Dons end the first half of the game up 16-0.

Will the real #1 please stand up…this is what happens when you have 70 players on the team, you share numbers…Matthew McCallister and Shea Stahl…both # 1 in our books!

Coach Buddy Rowell teaches Brody Coultas (#3) and Theo Horwath (#22) the offensive plays enabling Coultas and Horwath to call the plays during the game.

After a strong defensive effort in the second quarter, including an interception by Zach Birrell (#80), the Acalanes Dons led at halftime 30-0.

Third-quarter highlights include a series of runs by Bryce Mansour (#40) leading to a Dons touchdown making it 38-0 Dons. After a series of sacks by Mason Lanphere (#78) and Camden Sinha (#66) Acalanes forced the Falcons to punt. College Park rallied and scored with 7 minutes to go in the game making it a final score of 38-8 Dons.

A big shout out to Chris Clark and his training staff who, night after night, are on sight attending to injuries for both teams and making sure all the players are wrapped, hydrated and ready to play.
