Boys Lacrosse Delivers a Decisive win over Campolindo

Last Friday Night, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team mauled the rival Campolindo Cougars. In typical fashion, the boys led by team captains David DePaepe, Owen Estee, and George Churchill brought the intensity and never let up. The boys in white pulled away quickly from the Cougars amassing an 8-1 lead at halftime. As their lead grew in the third quarter, many of our up-and-comers got in on the action and helped propel the Dons to a 14-4 victory.

Ben Foox tells Campo to FOGO about it.

There were plenty of highlights from the action. FOGO Ben Foox (Foooox!) earned his player number (#1) winning an astounding 90+% of face-offs and scored his first goal on the season. Senior Joey Bettencourt rang the register with his first goal as well. Not to be left out of the action, Defenseman George Churchill amassed his second goal of the season. Dylan Olson lead the overall scoring on the night with 4, followed by brother (and fellow Attackman) Cooper, Middies Owen Estee, and Zach Appel with 2 goals a piece. Ground Ball kings on the night were Dylan Olson with 5 and John Cain with 4. Finally, Senior Goalie Blake Chehlaoui turned in another solid performance between the pipes with a 77% save ratio (14 of 18).

The boys now turn their attention to avenging last season’s 1-point loss to Monte Vista, when the 4-1 Mustangs visit our 3-1 Dons this Wednesday night. Go Dons!
