The Dons knew going into Friday’s game against Alhambra that it would likely be a very lopsided match up in the Dons’ favor and that proved to be true. In anticipation of that, the Dons rested many of their regular starters to help even the playing field a bit. The Bulldogs surprised the Dons’ defense by scoring the first goal of the game, but Acalanes was able to easily regroup and ultimately prevail 17-2.

Scoring goals for the Dons were Hanna Hageboeck, Maia Upp, Tea Smith, Leyna Machtmes, Ava McGlothlin, Jasmine Frost, Emily Roberts and Lucca DeBiasse. Assisting the scorers were Ella Thomason, Avery Ives, Cam Thorton, Upp, Machtmes and Hageboeck. Goalie Addie Martin made three saves on five shots on goal. 

The Dons look forward to a much more competitive match up on Monday at 7pm at Justin Siena High School in Napa. Let’s go, Dons!
