First, the frosh team, coaches and parents would like to offer our support and care to Julian Hood and his family. Julian Hood, a point guard starter, during an aggressive defensive move, suffered a severe arm injury that required immediate emergency care. Our prayers are with them for his speedy recovery.
Las Lomas was playing physical and hungry to win on their home court. Nevertheless, Acalanes defense ruined Las Lomas shooting percentage and they overpowered them 33 to 29 by half time.
The Dons stood up against the scrappy opponents as Ryder Molm frustrated Las Lomas center who couldnt get a shot or rebond past Ryder. Eventually the player resorted to back yard bb and got a technical while Ryder demonstrated excellent competative sportsmanship.
Las Lomas was a physical team but Acalanes’ skill, effective execution of plays and over 70% shooting average brought them the win. Shout out to Lorenzo Cangini high scorer 29 points and Arman Craig 18 points.
Overall, Acalanes Frosh are making some excellent passes, helping on defense and creating opportunities to score. Great game Dons!
