JV Soccer Boys ran into a bomb cyclone on Thursday night falling to the Campolindo “Cyclone” Cougars 0-3. The match was even through much of the first half, but too many Cougar opportunities led to increased confidence and a higher press. Campo dared theDons defense to make a mistake and their offense took advantage putting a miscue into the goal and 1-0 lead. Campo started the 2nd half extremely aggressive controlling possession and applying pressure. which lead the Cougars 2nd goal of the match. The Dons continued to defend hard and had 3 or 4 opportunities to counter, but the Campo defense held strong. Campo scored their 3rd with about 12 minutes left to play on a not quite intended long shot which found its way in for an 0-3 score, the final score. Despite giving up 3 goals the defense and our goalkeepers deserve to be the Dons standout performers. Campo kept the pressure up all game, but our defense kept us in it well into the 2nd half. The Dons fall to 4-2-1 for the season. Cheer on JV this Tuesday 5pm at Las Lomas, Thursday 5pm at home vs Clayton Valley
