The JV boys soccer team opened the new year with a convincing win against the Miramonte Matadors 4-0. The Dons had the luxury of a full bench for this match as multiple players from the Frosh team were brought up to play with many getting extended minutes showcasing the emerging talent within the program. The two squads both came out with intensity and played even until Jack Sutherland knifed his way through a couple of Matadors finding a trailing Zack Roder who blasted it into the net for 1-0 lead. A few minutes later, a corner kick played in off a number of players, but Max Westin from the Frosh team followed the bouncing ball and tallied the 2nd goal of the match. In the 2nd half, Sutherland scored the Dons 3rd goal off of an assist by Nick Mitroff. The Dons put icing on the cake with a great hustle play from Ali Sina Haidari taking a deflection off of the Miramonte keeper and scoring on the miscue. With the win the Dons improve to 4-1-1 on the season.
