Thursday night, the Dons played a great match against Tamalpais. It was a steady pace to start with the Dons 2 points behind Tamalpais. The end of the second period, Gavin Beers #21, had great defense block for possession of the ball and ended the quarter just short of tie 20-23. Again, out of the gate in the 3rd quarter Gavin Beers #21, dropped a 2 pointer and Lorenzo Cangini #30 followed up with another 2pt offensive rebound with push back field goal bringing the match 25-28. Arman Craig #23 had a great game with 25 points, 10/19 FG, 2 threes’, 3/4 from FT, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals. Also Ryder kept the energy going with 14 points, 11 rebounds on 6/7 FG, 2/3 from FT. Arman Craig #23, along with excellent teamwork, held the match to a 3-point spread. Then in the 4th quarter Lorenzo Cangini #30 made 4 pts assist back-to-back with player #33 and 2 more pts driving to the basket. After a change in the lineup and Tamalpais good luck at 1:49 left, Tamalpais went on an 8-0 run to go up 10 in the fourth quarter. During that time, we had 7 turnovers. In the 4th quarter the Dons kept the lead down to 6 multiple times. With 45 seconds left the score stayed 6-point difference. In the end the turnovers may have eventually cost them the game.
