In CIF Quarter Finals action, and  the rubber match between the two teams this year, the #3 ranked Lady Dons beat Davis H.S 9-6 in a highly contested battle. 

Going into the action, the Dons were seeking revenge from a crazy loss earlier in the year.  The winner punching a ticket to the Semi Finals against the #2 ranked Soquel Knights on Thursday @5pm.

Led by a stingy DEFENSE, the Dons clamped down early and often.  Holding onto a 4 point lead for the majority of the contest.

Acalanes best players stepped up big, in a win or go home match up.  Ella Del Rosario was heavily involved in the offense with 4 gritty and very mighty goals. 

Wendy Heffelfinger played with supreme confidence locking down Davis best player (UC Berkeley Commit), with 2 steals and scored 2 sweet goals of her own.   

Maize O’Hare executed the offense flawlessly with 2 timely goals at the beginning and end of the game. 

Audrey Cox blocks shots, 14 in total, as she continues a hot streak in the cage. She’s definitely elevated her game during this very fun and exciting playoff run. 

Next up…

This Thursday is the Super Bowl match up, pitting the #3 ranked Dons against the #2 ranked Soquel Knights of Santa Cruz County.  The Dons are road dawgs and are going to need a total team effort to play in the Championship games against Miramonte on Saturday.
