This weekend the boys varsity water polo team played in the St. Francis Invitational at Palo Alto High School.

GAME 1 – Archbishop Mitty was a fight in the second half since they were down. Unfortunately, they were not able to come back from the loss in the first half and ended with a score of 8-10. Goals: Andrew Sappal (3), Christian Gotterup (2), Austin Bishop (2) & 1 assist, Miguel Strittmatter (1). Harrison Labrosse saved 17 and assisted a goal.

GAME 2 against Palo Alto, the home team, was a valiant effort but the boys couldn’t get past the one goal difference in the first quarter. They ended with a score of 15-16. Austin Bishop (4), Christian Gotterup (3), Tommy Gallagher (3), Andrew Sappal (2), Miguel Strittmatter (1), Arthemis Berloui (1), Rocco Fraioli (1). Harrison Labrosse saved 10.

GAME 3 – Saturday was a new day and they started off on fire with a lead of 8-1 in the first quarter against Menlo-Atherton. They all contributed and ended with a win of 18-3. Christian Gotterup (7) & 2 assists, Andrew Sappal (6), Austin Bishop (4) & 1 assist, Tommy Gallagher (1) & 1 assist, Thomas Parrott, Miguel Strittmatter, Arthemis Berloui, and Alexander Kurimai all had an assist in the game. Harrison Labrosse saved 13 and assisted 4 goals.

GAME 4 – The second game of the day against Serra again started strong with a 7-1 lead in the first quarter. They continued to dominate, stealing the ball 9 times! They ended the day on a high note with a final score of 15-3. Andrew Sappal (8) & 2 assists, Christian Gotterup (5), Austin Bishop (2) & 2 assists, Harrison Labrosse & Miguel Strittmatter each had 3 assists, Tommy Gallagher and Thomas Parrott each had an assist. Harrison Labrosse saved 17 and assisted 3 goals.
