The Boys’ Varsity tennis team lost yet another player to injury – bringing the total to four who were unable to compete today. Those who played battled valiantly against Campolindo. The #2 and #3 doubles lines consisting of Matthew Muren, Aaron Brown, Juzer Shipchandler, and Sammy Foster won their matches. Four other singles and doubles matches were extremely close and could have gone either way. Because we were again missing three of our top four players, all singles players had to play in higher spots.
On Thursday, the boys take on top-seeded Miramonte and we’ll give them everything we’ve got. The good news is we expect Tyler Toni, Luke Brightbill, Zach Snyder, and Will Lofting to return to the lineup next week. We will be away at Northgate on March 29 (Tues) and away at College Park on March 31 (Thurs).
As always, thanks to the family members who came out to Campolindo to cheer on the Acalanes boys. The atmosphere was a little more chaotic than what we’re used to, similar to the feel of a European or South American Davis Cup match. Go Dons!
