Campolindo ran away from Acalanes 75-44 Tuesday evening in Moraga, snapping the Dons 4 game win streak. The Dons came out aggressively and were competitive at the start, but couldn’t keep up with Campo’s pressure as the game went on.
The Dons leaned on Joe Reidenbach’s excellent foul shooting to stay close early. After the Cougars pulled ahead by double digits in the second quarter, Acalanes went on a 7-0 run to close the gap to 25-17, behind Cooper Edelman’s drives to the basket. Campo responded with a run of their own and never looked back.
Joe Reidenbach led the Dons with 13 points, Trevor Carillo added 9 points and 6 rebounds, and Cooper Edelman scored 7. Ian Salmon chipped in 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds of his own.
The Dons look to get back on track at College Park Thursday.
