Our AHSD rivals Las Lomas Lady Knights hosted our Lady Dons on Wednesday night. Action started off quickly with Las Lomas winning the sprint and scoring the first goal. The tide quickly changed with a goal by (Sr) Heide Heffelfinger, a goal by (Jr) Sarah Potter, (So) Olivia Williams drawing a successful penalty shot for Heidi, with a final goal by (Sr) Frannie Daughters, to end the 1st period 4-1. Las Lomas kept it close during the 2nd & 3rd, matching goal 2 goals by in the 2nd by (Jr) Sara Archer, with assists from (Jr) Maize O’Hare & (Jr) #1 Goalie Audrey Cox!, with 2 goals in the 3rd by (So) Olivia Williams, assisted by Sara Archer, and by Heidi, assisted by her sister (So) Wendy Heffelfinger. In the fourth period, we saw the Lady Dons take charge, winning the period 6-3, with goals by (Sr) Franny Daughters (Asst. Wendy H), Heidi (asst. Maize), Heidi (asst. Sara), Franny (asst. Olivia), Olivia (asst. Sara), with a goal by Wendy (solo) to finish it out.
