Tuesday in Benicia, there was great weather and a great win for the Dons over the Benicia Panthers, 9 to 6. Thursday comes, the weather surprising changed quickly with innings played in the rain and even a 10 minute delay of game due to rain. Besides raindrops falling on the field, so were Panther runs.
The Dons fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-4 loss to Benicia on Thursday. The Panther train took off in the first inning and the Dons could not stop them. The Dons put up four runs in the third inning. The Dons big bats in the inning were led by doubles by Aidian Beers and Jake Boselli. Mason Michlitsch went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the in hits. Kyle Bielawski was on the mound for the Dons. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs. Ellis Burger threw four innings in relief.
