Both Acalanes Dons and Benicia Cougars had their offenses going on Tuesday, but the JV Dons eventually prevailed 9-6.

Things changed in the fourth inning, Henry Souza hit a single to right field, Jake Boselli followed with a bunt down the third base side. Next a Don had a fly out to right field and the Panther threw to home plate with a tag out for their second out. With two outs, the inning was not over. Paul Kuhner took a hit by pitch, putting the Dons on the corners. Next Miller Smith came in to pinch hit (returning from injured list) with a single on a 2-2 count to center field, scoring Boselli to tie it up, 2 to 2. Ellis Burger singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, and Mason Michlitsch singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Dons added five runs to their side with two outs in the fourth inning. Dons 6 and Panthers 2. The Dons scored again in the sixth and seventh innings to give the Dons a total of nine runs.
Logan Mikalis toed the rubber for the Dons. The fireballer surrendered five runs on five hits over five innings, striking out four. Jake Boselli took over for two innings and striking out three.
The Dons JV totaled 14 hits in the game. Nikko Woodson, Michlitsch, Bielawski, Jake Boselli, Henry Souza, and Burger all managed multiple hits for Acalanes. Woodson led the Dons with three hits in four at bats. Souza led the Dons with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with seven stolen bases.
