Acalanes Freshman basketball improved their record to 4-1 with a convincing victory Thursday at Clayton Valley. The Don’s opened up an early lead built on their stellar defense, and never looked back, running away with a 52-36 victory.
Coach Thomas was visibly pleased at the post-game press conference, saying “This, start to finish, was our best game of the season. We came out with a lot of energy and it carried over for all four quarters. Very proud of the boys for this one.”
Jordan Brown led the way with 17 points and 4 steals. Calvin Kotarba added 10 points and 4 steals of his own. Trevor Carillo chipped in 9 points and 3 assists, while Liam O’Keeffe and Liam Krackeler combined for another 14 points, and Cooper Edelman added a bucket. Trevor Rogers led the team with 6 rebounds.
