In a game they controlled from the tip, the Dons Boys Basketball team beat College Park 79-45 at home on Wednesday night.
The first half was a three-palooza for the Dons, who nailed ten 3-point shots in the half to take a 44-24 lead. Senior Graham Smith hit four, while junior Noah Bloch and freshman Marcus Robinson nailed two apiece.
In the third quarter, sophomore Jake Davis opened the scoring with a dunk, before senior Scott Ruegg took over, hitting for fourteen points in a row. Ruegg led all scorers with 21 points in the game.
The Dons held a 65-40 lead entering the fourth, when Senior Derek Kotarba and Junior Tate Nelson took over the scoring load, scoring six each in the quarter.
