Varsity Boys Basketball Looks Forward to Home Court Advantage against Clayton Valley Friday Night after losing at Miramonte, 51-64

After enjoying back-to-back home game wins, the Dons were disappointed that their trip to Orinda ended in a loss to Miramonte. But there were several high points. Joey Carrillo was the highest scorer of either team, posting 16 points for the night. Scott Ruegg and Jackson Aris-Dumas each added 11 points. Graham Smith and Scott were 100% from the free throw line, and Jackson was near perfect at 85%. Scott sunk three 3-pointers, and Graham sunk one. Strong Dons’ defense — including numerous hustles by Aidan Bodner, Jake Davis, Joey, and Scott — forced the Mats to turnover the ball throughout the game. The Dons had some great steals, rebounds, and a couple fast breaks along with some perfectly timed passes. But on this hump day night, like the Miramonte shot clock, there were hiccups throughout the game, and the Dons came up short. Dons Nation is the Varsity team’s secret weapon. Please ShowUp on Friday night, be the Sixth Man, and cheer the boys basketball teams as they face Clayton Valley at home.  Frosh 4:00, JV 5:30, Varsity 7:00. Let’s Go Dons!
