In a back and forth game that went down to the wire, the Acalanes Boys JV basketball team came away with a victory over Castro Valley High School Saturday afternoon at the 2019 Josh “Chachi” Coral Memorial Basketball tournament by a final score of 62-58. 
The Dons were led on offense by bigs Jack Russo and Yanaton Draznin, who scored a combined 25 points, while the defense, bolstered by strong efforts from Tyler Murphy and Donovan Aris-Dumas, played lockdown defense in the second half to secure the victory. 
In a truly team wide effort, all Dons players scored in the game. The JV Boys finish out the tournament Monday afternoon at 3:30 pm against Dublin High School in the Championship Consolation game.
