Who let the Dogs DONS Out?!!

The Frosh Dons muzzled the Bulldogs of Alhambra Thursday night with a score, 56 to 33.

The Dons brought more than just their ‘A’ game. They brought their ‘A to Z’ game, from Acuna to Zegarowski on the court.

Miller Smith was the high scorer of the night with 22 points. Smith did not score one three-pointer, not two three-pointers but FIVE for the night. Also, racking up the points for the Dons were Landon Best-Santos (10), Jack Bayless (8) and Justin Zegaroski (7). Coco Gannon tossed in a 3 pointer in the second quarter. Bennett Dodge and Nathan Bennett added to the Don’s score , as well.

The Bulldogs were barking up the wrong tree and had a hard time getting through the Dons defense. Bennett Dodge and Jack Bayless would not give the Bulldogs a bone, nor a basket by defending and denying the Dogs often. It was a challenge for the Dogs to get passed Kaleo Feinberg and Coco Gannon. Colin Norstad, Nathan Kim, Dominic Sarica and Zubin Acuna added the the team’s defense and win.

The Frosh Dons move on to the Championship game Saturday, December 14 at 11:30am against the Cal High Grizzlies. The Dons beat the Grizzlies last week, so the Grizzlies will be hungry to face the Dons again. And Dons will be aiming for another win against Cal High

Dons are ready to face Cal High on Saturday to collect their second win against the Grizzlies.
