The Acalanes Frosh Boys ran their record to 2-0 with a resounding 87-26 victory over Berean Christian on Saturday afternoon.

Coaches Bob and Eric did a great job giving all of Dons plenty of playing time. Jack Bayless, Landon Santos and Justin Zegarowski started the game on fire, leading to a 27-6 advantage for the Dons at the end of the first period.

In the second quarter, Zubin Acuna caught fire, making all three of his attempts from long distance, including a buzzer beater that had the crowd on its feet celebrating Zubin-mania. The third quarter saw the Dons take full advantage of the size mismatch of Bennett Dodge, feeding him the ball in the post for several buckets.

Other second-half highlights included many beautiful passes from Coco Gannon, and nice finishes at the hoop from Dominic Sarica, Nathan Bennett, and Colin Norstad.

This week: Acalanes will be part of the Cal High Frosh Tournament, Dec 5 6 and 7. Time to DON-inate!
