It is hard to loose any Sporting Event when the other team is prevented from scoring. The JV Don’s Defense got it done again! If you were to just look at the statistics for this game one would be lead to believe that Campolindo had a chance of winning… they had 175 total yards of offense compared to Acalanes having 155 total yards… They ran 54 total offensive plays, compared to Acalanes running 36… They had the ball for 31 minutes to Acalanes having the ball 16 minutes – What the stats don’t tell is the heart the JV Don’s take onto the field – Their PRIDE in what they do… you could look into anyone of these kids eyes and tell… they were not going to loose this game!
The defensive standout on Friday night was #27 Ethan Rowland who was in on 7 tackles and had 2 HUGE interceptions! #22 Donovan Aris Dumas has 5 tackles. #62 Sam Hafner caused a fumble and was part of a sack, and #4 Evan Malmquist had 4 tackles, a half a sack and a fumble recovery! The Defensive Team should be very proud of their effort – they play as a unit, everyone knows their job and they hold each other accountable to do their part!
The offense was their usual efficient unit, only needing 12 minutes to score 3 touchdowns and a 42 YARD FIELD GOAL!! 42 Yards… this is JV High School Football… not the NFL… #44 Rhett Skvarna has an Iron Foot! Quarterback Luke Souza was 8-14 passing for 96 Yards and 2 touchdowns, along with a rushing touchdown that included his helmet getting ripped off in the process! #19 Nicholas Eppinger hauled in 2 passes for 51 yards, #33 Jack Wood and #8 Will Berrien each had a touchdown catch, and #4 Evan Malmquist had 66 yards on the ground –
Coach Young is doing a terrific job with this team – really molding this boys into fine football players and even better young men! Looking forward to seeing the tattoo coach! For more pictures of this game navigate to the following link – https://photos.app.goo.gl/vQqk4YV2FnyLCdJp8
