The Varsity Baseball team notched two more wins on Friday and Saturday to remain undefeated after seven games against other NCS Division One programs.
On Friday, the Dons beat Napa High School 12-1, with offensive contributions throughout the lineup:

Logan Hurd got the start and the win, pitching 3 innings (2H, 1ER, 3K); Eddie Burns pitched the next two innings (0H, 0R, 3K) in a game shortened by the run rule.
On Saturday, the Dons headed down to Fremont to play Irvington High School, and won in an 18-1 blowout. Again, players throughout the lineup contributed. Davis Diaz was swinging a hot bat, with 2 triples and a single on the day. Brady Huchingson was 4-4 on the day and led the team with 5 RBIs.Will Easley hit 2 doubles, with Nicolas Bamont hitting a double and single. Hits also came from: Nick Kresnak, Cole Murgia, Thatcher Hurd, Tommy Thrasher, Michael Castelli, Will Burleigh, David Sniderman and Ben Woodworth.
Nick Kresnak got the start and pitched 3 flawless innings, striking out 8. Michael Castelli, Andrew Peterson and David Diaz had the next four innings well in hand, ensuring the Dons a lopsided victory.
League play begins on Tuesday, when the Varsity Dons are away at College Park for a 4pm start.
JV & Frosh Team News:
Junior Varsity (3-1) also claimed two wins from Friday’s and Saturday’s games.
On Friday, JV defeated Napa High School 7-0. Jonny Burns got the start and the win for the JV Dons, pitching 5 strong innings, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 9. Miles Bergman and Jimmy Harrington maintained the shutout over the next two innings to ensure the win.
On offense, Drew Davidson led the way with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs. Other contributors: Mitchell Franklin (2H, 2B, 2R, SB); Miles Bergman (1H, 2B, 2R, 2 RBI, SB); Brayden Clarkson (1H, 2B); Sam Winkles (2H, 2B, 1R, 1RBI, 2SB); Graham Smith (1H, 2B, 1R, 1RBI, SB); Logan Miniello (1R, 1SB).
On Saturday, JV prevailed over Irvington HS 9-4. Sam Winkles started and got the win for JV, going 6 innings, allowing 4 runs and striking out 9. Ethan Lerch closed out the final inning for the Dons.

The Freshmen Baseball Team (3-2) split a double header on Saturday against Benicia. In the first game, the Frosh team fell 6-5 when Benicia came up with a walk off hit to end the game. In game two, the Frosh Dons came back and won 5-3 after putting up two runs in an extra inning to clinch the win.
