Offensive fireworks were on display in the Dons’ Senior Night game against Miramonte last Friday. After spotting Miramonte a 19-0 first quarter lead, the Dons almost came all the way back before losing 46-34.
QB Nick Kresnak got in a nice rhythm offensively connecting repeatedly with his favorite targets Chris Rogers, Lucas Eppinger and Jake Delaney all of whom caught TD passes.
It was 39-34 late in the game when the Acalanes Defense led by John Kalil, Tommy Thrasher and Alex Cortessis came up with a sweet goal line stand to give the ball back to the offense with a chance to win. Unfortunately though it was not meant to be and the Dons came up just short.
Acalanes has its last regular season game against Alhambra this week.
