The Acalanes JV girls volleyball team cruised to victory over the vistors from Moreau Catholic, 25-4, 25-11 with a great all around win to open the season in non-league play.  It was a strong effort from the team, with solid defense and serving allowing the squad to build big early leads in both sets. The timing between setters Aisha Mohanty and Sarah Coons and their hitters was impressive for this early in the season with several attackers recording multiple kills and the team hitting percentage approaching 0.500. Makenzie Sauer led the offense and Sydney Sowarby led the defense.This level of team play should set Acalanes up for a successful season to come.
