swept Campolindo HS in a doubleheader 8-5 and 8-2.

qualifiers for the NCS Tri-Valley Championships at the DAL Trials.
Marianna Florine placed 6th in the pole vault.

NCS Playoffs…

Girls Lacrosse

plays at Novato HS Wednesday at 5:30 in the first round of the playoffs.

Boys Lacrosse

is the #2 seed and will host the winner of Novato HS v. University HS Friday or Saturday at 7:00.

Boys Volleyball

is the #2 seed and will host the winner of El Cerrito HS v. Drake HS Friday or Saturday at 7:00.

Note: At all NCS playoffs games, there is an admission charge. $10 general admission and $5 for students, children and senior citizens. No passes or ASB stickers will be honored.

May 6 – Freshman Baseball Sweeps Campolindo

The Freshman Dons hosted Campolindo and came away with two wins and a season series sweep winning all four games against the Cougars.  In game one, the Dons battled back after spotting Campolindo a 5-0 lead getting timely hits from Will Easley, Cole Murgia and Logan Miniello while scoring the last 8 runs in an 8-5 victory. Pitcher Ethan Lerch was credited with the win.
In the nightcap, the Dons won 8-2 behind great pitching by Aidan Keeler and a big day at the plate for Easley going 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs.  Luke Miles, John Kalil and Ben Fromer each had two hits.

May 6 – Saturday Sports

In Friday’s action…

Boys Lacrosse

defeated Northgate HS 13-4 to finish 13-1 in the DAL and 16-4 overall as they prepare for the NCS playoffs next week.

Acalanes High School Varsity Boys Lacrosse Seniors

Boys Tennis

Cole Brightbill and Jin Heo won their first match and lost their second in the NCS doubles championships.

In Saturday’s action…

competes in the DAL Finals at Campolindo HS at 12:00.

Track & Field

competes in the DAL Trials at Campolindo HS at 2:30.

hosts Campolindo HS in a doubleheader at 11:00 and 1:30.

In Thursday’s action…

Boys Volleyball

completed an undefeated DAL championship season at 10-0 with a victory over Ygnacio Valley HS 25-6, 25-5, 25-10 and raise their overall record to 27-6 going into next weeks NCS playoffs.

Softball

shutout Ygnacio Valley HS 13-0.

Baseball

came up on the short end of a tremendous pitching battle to Clayton Valley Charter HS 1-0. The jv team also came up short 7-5.

In Friday’s action…

hosts Northgate HS. JV is at 5:30 and varsity at 7:00.

May 2 – Dons Baseball blanks Bulldogs

The Don’s Varsity baseball team shut out Alhambra yesterday 4-0.
Josh Candau pitched a 2 hit complete game shut out with no walks and 7 strikeouts. Daniel Kim was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles. Ty Ewing also had 2 hits. Nick Kresnak, Ewing, Jack Stryker and Will Rembac also had a run batted in. The Don’s improve to 3-2 in DAL.

In Tuesday’s action…

Boys Volleyball

swept 25-10, 25-11, 25-16 to remain undefeated in the DAL at 8-0 and 25-6 overall.

Baseball

shutout Alhambra HS 4-0.

Softball

was defeated by Las Lomas HS.

Girls Lacrosse

was defeated by Campolindo HS. The jv team rallied again to pull out a 13-12 victory to finish the regular season at 15-2-2.

Boys Lacrosse

was defeated by Campolindo HS. The jv team recorded a 10-1 victory.


May 2 – Tuesday Sports

In Monday’s action…

Boys Volleyball

swept Concord HS 25-18, 25-19 and 25-19 to remain undefeated in the DAL at 8-0 and raise their overall record to 25-5. The jv team also swept 25-10 and 25-11 to finish the season 6-0 in the DAL and 9-3 overall.

In Tuesday’s action…

Baseball

plays Alhambra HS at 4:00. Varsity is away and jv is home.

Softball

plays at Las Lomas HS at 4:00.

Lacrosse

teams play Campolindo HS. Boys are home and girls are away. JV at 5:30 and varsity at 7:00.

Boys Volleyball

plays at Mt. Diablo HS at 6:00.

JV Boys Tennis

plays at Northgate HS at 3:30.

Monday’s individual standouts…

Boys Golf

Julian O’Donnell shot a 76 at the DAL Championships to advance to the NCS Championships. Jake Rosenberg also played very well shooting a 77.
