Cougars Can Not Stop the Frosh Dons-Acalanes Beats Campo, 18-13

Our BEAST MODE is turned “ON” always. Last Saturday the Dons were on and ready to win against the cross-town rival Campolindo and they did.

The Dons put up 217 total offensive yards and scored 3 touchdowns in just over 13 minutes! Team Captain and Quarterback, Jake Boselli, came out firing on all cylinders, connecting on 11 of his 14 pass attempts for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns! Wide Receiver, Paul Kuhner, had 6 catches for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns on the day…  Tailback, Jack Miller, got the ball 8 times for 36 hard fought yards. Wide out Gavin Bender, Receiver Kiran Foster  and Tailback Sully Bailey also got into the offensive mix – Wide Receiver Calvin Kortaba had the catch of the day late in the game on 4th down, the ball was a little behind him and he had to lay out to make the grab for a first down! The Dons were then able to run out the clock with a few victory formation kneel downs. The offensive linemen are coming along very nicely! They work together as a unit and are giving the offensive the protection it needs to make things happen!

Defensively, the Dons were lead by Outside linebacker Jack Giorgianni, who had 5 solo tackles and just wreaked havoc on the Cougars offense all day. Safety Everett Glass had 4 solo tackles and 2 assists, while cornerbacks Henry Souza and Kiran Foster each had an interception. The defensive linemen, Trevor Carrilo, Aiden Yates, JD Orear and Brady Morrow all got in the mix as well.
