The girls volleyball team hosts Dublin HS.  JV at 5:00, varsity at 6:00.
The girls tennis team has a match against Las Lomas HS at 3:30.  Varsity away, jv home.

In Fridays action…

The girls water polo team held off Carondelet HS 6-5
The girls golf team defeated Clayton Valley HS 205-247.
The football team was defeated by Miramonte HS.  The jv team won 29-18.

In todays action…

The girls tennis team scrimmages at Concord HS at 3:30.

Individual standouts…

Girls water polo        Barbara Lanier and Megan Dietrich each scored 2 goal.  Casey Reid and Ellyn Stewart each scored a goal.  Megan Mes had 8 saves.
Girls golf                  Elizabeth Schultz shot a 45 on a 9-hole par 36 course.
Football                   Aaron Edwards ran for 156 yards on 27 carries and scored 2 rushing touchdowns.
                             Mike Leamy connected with Trent Baker for the other score.
                             Lucas Levine had 3 receptions for 64 yards.

October 1st – Water Polo – Women

The varsity girls took on a tough competitive game against Carondolet and came out on top winning 6-5. Scoring for the Dons were Dietrich and Lanier with 2 each, Reid and Stewart with 1 each. Steals were the news of the game with Dietrich 3 and Quinn, Reid, Burgin, Lanier and Newman 2 each. Quinn also drew 2 forced 5 meter shots, both which netted goals for the Dons.

In Thursdays action…

The girls volleyball team defeated Dougherty Valley HS25-15, 25-15, 20-25, 25-23.  Tyanna Roy had 14 kills, Kendall Baker had 5 kills and 3 blocks, and Gabby Gaubert had 32 assists and 5 aces.

In Fridays action…

The football team hosts Miramonte HS.  JV at 4:30, varsity at 7:00.
The girls water polo team hosts Carondelet HS at Campolindo HS.  Varsity at 4:00, jv at 5:00.
The girls golf team has a match against Clayton Valley HS at Rossmoor GC at 3:30.

The girls water polo team plays Marin Catholic HS at Indian Valley College.  JV at 11:00, varsity at 12:00.

September 30th

In yesterdays action…

The boys water polo team defeated Dougherty Valley HS 22-2.
The girls water polo team defeated Dougherty Valley HS 18-6.
At the DFAL center meet, both the boys and girls cross country teams defeated Miramonte HS, Las Lomas HS, Alhambra HS, Dublin HS, and Dougherty Valley HS, with their only defeat to Campolindo HS.
The girls golf team was defeated by Campolindo HS and Dublin HS.

In todays action…

The girls volleyball team plays at Dougherty Valley HS.  Freshmen at 4:00, jv at 5:00, varsity at 6:30.
The freshman football team plays at Miramonte HS at 5:00.

Yesterdays individual standouts…

Boys water polo Jake Seroy scored 6 goals, Connor Mattox and Tommy Bush each scored 4 goals, Buddy Norton and Nathaniel Whitmore each scored 2 goals, and
                       Tucker Stone had 2 saves.
Girls water polo Molly Quinn and Sami Sciacqua each scored 3 goals, Corey VanHoven and Megan Dietrich each scored 2 goals, and Katie Ramm and Maddie Myall each
                       each had 2 saves.
Cross country    Adam Faulkner finished 8th overall.  Annie Marggraff finished 9th overall, Katie Berge 10th, Tara Bozzini 14th, Nicolette 15th, Amy Hollshwandner 18th, and
                       Kelly Collins 20th.
Girls golf           Elizabeth Schultz shot a 45 over a 9-hole par 36 course.

September 29th – Girl’s volleyball – JV

JV Volleyball Beats Alhambra:  The Acalanes JV Girls Volleyball came roaring back Tuesday, with a victory over Alhambra 25-13, 25-14.  The first game belonged to servers, with Julia Amaral and Sarah Rogers providing 16 of the 25 game points.  Rachael Cox, Jen Lincoln and Amy Thomas added points with strategic kills.  Danielle Grobeck and Blair Howard blocked attempts by the Bulldogs to score on the Dons, while the back row defense led by Josie Mueller let nothing drop.
In game two, the Dons became a killing machine.  Kills by Natalie Goepel, Rogers, Howard, Grobeck, Thomas and Cox showed slamming offense.  The defensive line was strong with Ainsley Blandford, Sophia Takashima, Rogers and Goepel holding firm.  Throughout the game, the Dons never lost the lead and Joanna Harnish neatly closed out the match by serving three aces in a row.  Next up, the Lady Dons take on Dougherty Valley, Thursday, September 30.

The girls golf team has a match against Campolindo HS and Dublin HS at Rossmoor GC at 3:30.

Yesterdays individual standouts…

Girls tennis        Tessa Karagocev, Elizabeth Landry, and Ida Barabi won singles matches.
                       Emily Lindsay & Nikki Lee, Erin Grant & Wendy Yang, and Rachel Bauer & Connie Chen won doubles matches.
Girls volleyball    Tyanna Roy had 10 aces and 5 kills, and Natalie Chan had 4 aces and 4 kills.

The boys water polo team finished in 2nd place at the Richison Tournament by defeating De La Salle HS 8-4 in the semifinals before losing to St. Francis HS.
