Varsity Baseball Wins 5-2, Extends 9-0 Season Record

#5 Shortstop Davis Diaz hit one out today, no easy feat in Acalanes’ big yard.

The Dons won the home opener Thursday afternoon 5-2 against College Park, adding to their 10-4 win earlier in the week on the road against College Park.

Nick Kresnak took the mound and got the win today, going the distance and pitching a complete game. Kresnak allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, striking out 3 against a very persistent, and good hitting College Park squad.

Davis Diaz (2H, HR, 1R, 1RBI) had another great day at the plate, topped by a big and loud solo homer in the 3rd. Nick Bamont (2H, 2B, 1R, 1SB), Brady Huchingson (2H, 2RBI) and Scott Brydon (2H, 1R) all had 2-hit days. Nick Kresnak (1H, 1RBI) and Cole Murgia (1H, 1R, 1SB) each added hits to the 10-hit day the Dons had at the plate.

The Dons continue League play next week on Tuesday 3/26 at 4pm, when they host Northgate at home.

Nick Kresnak battled all seven, pitching a complete game for the Dons.
