STRENGTH & CONDITIONING PROGRAM WITH LOGAN BEAL: NEW HOURS MONDAY 3-7PM AND THURSDAY 3-7PM!

At a Boosters meeting early in 2018, someone asked a simple question: “How can we help our student athletes train so they become stronger, faster, more agile, and less prone to injury?”  This simple question sparked an idea that caught fire and at the April Boosters Bash the focus of our fundraising efforts was the Fund-A-Need campaign to develop better training programs for our athletes. After a summer of planning, the first ever Strength & Conditioning Program at Acalanes is up and running.

This program is funded 100% by Boosters and has three components. First, Boosters has partnered with BridgeAthletic, a company that offers a training platform through an app that our athletes can upload to their mobile devices. The BridgeAthletic app delivers customized workouts to each athlete based on their sport, gender, age, and their level of fitness. Second, Boosters has contracted with a certified Strength & Conditioning Coach, Logan Beal, who is trained in the BridgeAthletic workouts and will be at Acalanes Mondays and Thursdays from 3-7pm to assist athletes and teams with their programs. Finally, Boosters purchased a variety of new gym equipment for athletes to use in the BridgeAthletic workouts.

This Strength & Conditioning program will provide every Acalanes athlete the opportunity to train for their sport and elevate their fitness and performance while decreasing their risk of injury.  Any Acalanes athlete is eligible to sign up. If you are an individual athlete, you can register and provide information such as your sport, gender, age, and fitness level and the Bridge S&C specialists will create a workout for you. After an athlete is registered with the Bridge app, he/she is free to come to Open Hours and no reservation is necessary.  Athletes can get signed up for the program by going to BridgeAthletic + Acalanes Website.  Logan encourages athletes who are new to the program to email him to set up a time when he can meet with you to get your customized workouts started. logan@bridgeathletic.com

Winter sport athletes are welcome to sign up for the program and begin training for your upcoming season!
