Track & Field heading into League Championships

Going into League Championships, Track and Field Boys are currently 1st with a 6-0 record and Girls are 3-3.

At the Charlie Eaton/Bob Warren Relay Meet, Senior Matt Thomas won 1st Place with a 55’10” in Shot Put, finished 1st at Sacramento Meet of Champions in Discus for the invitational section with a166’10” launch and took 2nd in Shot Put.  Matt currently ranks 1st Place in Shot Put and Discus in NCS.

Also at the Charlie Eaton/Bob Warren Meet, Varsity Runner Samantha Taketa (10th Grade) took 1st Place for the 1500 Meter with a 5:06.36 time.

9th Grader Imani Boggan ran a searing 58.10 sec 400 Meter at the Sacramento Meet of Champions to put her 2nd at All-Time Acalanes and 2nd in League this year.

Astounding and exciting, 9th Grader Windy Margerum ran 15.46 sec 100 Meter Hurdles to break the All-Time Best at Acalanes (a 20 year record) versus Campolindo, which now places Windy 5th in NCS and 2nd in League.  These are young ladies to keep your eyes on.

Running a lifetime best at Acalanes of 41.08 sec 300 Meter Hurdles, Taiki Chiba lit up the track at Sacramento Meet of Champions to place him in 2nd in League.

And not to be forgotten, the Boys 4X400 Team ran the 3rd best time at Acalanes blazing in with a 3:21.06, which sets them 1st in League and 3rd in NCS.
