April 30th – Boys Golf

The varsity golf team will play its post match season on Monday May 2nd in the DFAL league tournament at Lone Tree Golf Course in Antioch.  Currently, Acalanes is in second place behind Dublin High School
During the season, Acalanes lost to both Dublin and Miramonte in dual matches. The varsity team has played very well over the past two weeks. They redounded back with a strong win over Los Lomas and Alhambra in a tri-match. On April 21st , the team shot 180 (even par for the entire team) for nine holes at Blackhawk Country Club against Dougherty Valley high school. In the match, three players shot under par: Parker Ramsey and Will Brueckner shot two par under while Harrison Kim shot one under. According to Coach Scott, this is the best score recorded by an Acalanes team. Last Friday, Acalanes defeated both Dublin and Miramonte in a tri-match at Rossmoor Country Club with a 193 team score. Currently, Acalanes is in second place behind Dublin high school. Last week at the Transbay High School tournament, Acalanes High School placed fourth out of twenty two teams.  Will Brueckner placed fourth and Harrison Kim placed tenth out of 110 boys.
Congratulations to all the seniors on the golf team who have been accepted to a wide range of colleges for next year. We value academics first at Acalanes high school as we support the game of golf. Congratulations to Parker Ramsey who has been accepted at San Jose State University. Parker is only male golfer from Acalanes to earn scholarship to play golf for a Division I college team.
