In Thursdays action…
The wrestling team was defeated by Dublin HS.
The freshman boys soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie with San Ramon Valley HS.

In Fridays action…
The basketball teams play Dougherty Valley HS.
At Dougherty Valley HS.  JV girls at 4:00, varsity girls at 5:30, varsity boys at 7:00.
At Acalanes HS.  JV boys at 4:00, freshman boys at 5:30.

In Saturdays action…
The boys soccer team hosts Monte Vista HS.  JV at 10:00, varsity at 12:00.
The freshman boys soccer team hosts El Cerrito HS at 2:00.
The freshman girls soccer team plays at Clayton Valley HS at 9:00, and hosts Northgate HS at 4:00.

Thursdays individual standouts…
Wrestling             Brian Lilienstein, Aaron Arman, and Andrew Mesetz won their matches.

Feb 1 – Basketball and Wrestling Results

In yesterdays action…
The boys basketball team fell to Campolindo HS in the final minutes of the game 75-72.  The jv team also was defeated.
The girls basketball team was defeated by Campolindo HS.  The JV team came roaring back only to lose a close game.
The wrestling team was defeated by Alhambra HS.

In todays action…
The soccer teams play Alhambra HS.  The boys are home and the girls away.  JV at 4:15 and varsity at 6:15.

Yesterdays individual standouts…
Boys Basketball        Kevin Huber scored 20 points, with 6 3-pointers. Buster Souza scored 17 points, with a monster dunk. Noah Orlik scored 16 points, with 1 3-pointer.
Girls Basketball        Sophie Taylor scored 16 points, with 1 3-pointer. Jamie Jacobs scored 11 points, with 3 3-pointers.
Wrestling                   Will Timken, Brian Lilienstein, Andrew Nakahara and Alan Zuniga won matches.

Varsity Boys Soccer- With a tie & a win, the Dons are still comfortably on top of the DFAL!

On Wednesday, the Dons were hosting defending NCS champion Campolindo and delivered a solid performance for a final score of 1-1. Junior Dan Glascock scored his 12th goal of the season (tied with senior Austin DeBack) on an assist from senior Aidan Maguire (his 10th of the season and best of the team). But the hero of the game was junior GK Eric Rogstad who brilliantly saved a penalty kick (his 3rd in a row!!!) at the beginning of the game and made some crucial saves along the way. With the tie, the Dons accomplished their goal of maintaining their 5-point lead on Campo but will have to wait until NCS to have a chance to beat Campo this year after two 1-1 ties.

Jan 29 – Basketball and Soccer results

In Fridays action…
The girls basketball team soundly defeated Las Lomas HS.  The jv team won in a landslide.
The boys basketball team was defeated by Las Lomas HS.  The jv team also was defeated.
The boys soccer team continues to lead in the DFAL race with a 2-0 victory over Dougherty Valley HS.
The girls soccer team tied Dougherty Valley HS 2-2.
Individual standouts…
Boys basketball Noah Orlik scored 14 points, and Aaron Edwards scored 4 points and had 5 rebounds.
Girls soccer Katherine Torchio scored both goals, Kaitlyn McGee had an assist, and Brooke Balfrey had 4 saves.

Jan 26 – Basketball and Soccer results

In yesterdays action…
The boys soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie with Campolindo HS to raise their DFAL record to 6-0-2, and their overall record to 10-1-5.
The girls soccer team engaged in a defensive battle with Campolindo HS ending in a 0-0 tie.
The boys basketball team narrowly fell to Dublin HS 57-54.
The girls basketball team played very well only to lose to Dublin HS on a buzzer-beater 53-51. JV Girls won 51-49.

In todays action…
The wrestling team has a meet at Miramonte HS at 6:00.

Girls soccer         Brooke Balfrey had 2 saves.

The boys basketball team toppled Miramonte HS 56-54.  The freshman team was defeated.
The girls basketball team was defeated by Miramonte HS.  The jv team was victorious.
The girls soccer team was short-handed, but battled to a 0-0 tie with Concord HS.  The jv team was also short-handed, but played well to end in a tie.

In todays action…
The freshman boys soccer team plays at College Park HS at 4:00.

Yesterdays individual standouts…
Boys basketball                James Griffin scored 25 points, with 4 3-pointers, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Buster Souza scored 10 points, with 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Jon Coleman had 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
Girls basketball               Taylor Odom scored 10 points.
Girls soccer                       Brooke Balfrey had 6 assists.

Girls Varsity won 44-35 over Sonoma Valley High School.

Olivia Murphy, Grace Francis, and Taylor Odom had a nice defensive game holding Sonoma’s star player Annie Studdert to 11 points in Acalanes zone defense down low.
