In Fridays action…
The girls golf team defeated Miramonte HS 238-251 for the first time in 7 years.

In Saturdays action…
The girls water polo team defeated Carondelet HS 15-1.
The football team suffered an excruciating last minute defeat to San Marin HS 13-10.
The girls cross country team finished 4th overall at the De La Salle/Carondelet Nike Invitational.

Individual standouts…
Football                Peter Mitchell scored a rushing touchdown, and Paul Nork made a field goal and PAT.
Girls golf              Elizabeth Schultz shot a 40, and Lauren Kim 43 on a 9-hole par 36 course.
Cross country    Tyler Troxel finished 7th in the varsity boys division.
Amy Hollshwandner finished 10th, Tara Bozzini 16th, and Kelly Collins 18th in the varsity girls division.
Jack Connolly finished 11th in the jv boys division.
Michael Wang finished 2nd in the frosh-soph boys division.
Sophia Frumenti finished 19th in the frosh-soph girls division.

In Thursdays action…
The girls tennis team had a great showing against Campolindo HS in defeat.
The freshman football team defeated San Marin HS 36-21.

In Fridays action…
The girls golf team has a match against Miramonte HS at Rossmoor GC at 3:30.
The boys water polo team competes in the Santa Barbara tournament.

In Saturdays action…
The football team plays at San Marin HS. JV at 11:30, varsity at 2:00.
The cross country team competes in the De La Salle/Carondelet Nike Invitational at Newhall Park at 8:45 am.
The jv girls volleyball team competes in the Northgate tournament.
The boys water polo team competes in the Santa Barbara tournament.

In yesterdays action…
The girls golf team split defeating Alhambra HS 238-320, and being defeated by Dublin HS 229 to 238.

In todays action…
The girls tennis team hosts Campolindo HS at 3:30.
The freshman football team hosts San Marin HS at 6:00.

Girls golf Elizabeth Schultz shot a 38, Lauren Kim 42, and Adrienne Lee 44 on a 9-hole, par 36 course.

Sep 13 – Girls Golf – Las Lomas Results

Acalanes girls had a match with Las Lomas. Las Lomas had only four players so we used our four low scores. Acalanes 173  Las Lomas 240.

September 9-10 Girls Varsity Water Polo

Lady Dons Earn Bronze in Acalanes Invitational Ladies Varsity Water Polo.

Acalanes hosted the annual Acalanes Invitational women’s Water Polo tournament on September 9 and 10th. The tournament featured an array of teams representing multiple athletic leagues and both the North Coast and Central Coast sections.

The Lady Dons drew a large crowd for their first game of the tournament which, for the first time ever, was held during lunch. Acalanes handled the game of the tournament with relative ease as the team defeated Foothill High School 16-3 .

In Fridays action…
The football team rallied for a hard-fought victory over Skyline HS 28-21.  The JV team won in overwhelming fashion.
Carson Gardner rushed for 170 yards on 14 carries, and scored 2 touchdowns.
Spencer Henderson and Peter Mitchell each scored a touchdown.

The girls water polo team defeated Foothill HS 16-2, and then defeated perennial power Monte Vista HS 5-4.

In Saturdays action…
The girls Cross Country team finished first at the Ed Sias Invitational.
Individual standouts…

Amy Hollshwandner finished 3rd, Annie Marggraff 5th, Kelly Collins 6th , Tara Bozzini 8th, and Kelly Berge 14th. Tyler Troxel finished 10th.
