Both the Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country Teams traveled to the Clovis Invitational on Saturday, 8 Oct

The Clovis Invitational Cross Country race was held on the same course as the State race which is held every year in November.  Many teams from the entire state attend this race so the competition was fierce.

The Boys raced in the Division 3 category and finished a very respectable 7th out of 29 teams.  Led by senior Tyler Troxel (who set a PR for himself and is now 2nd all time for Acalanes for the Cl0vis course) was followed by Adler Faulkner, Michael Wang, Keenan Byrne, Tristan Tarpey, Marshall Crawford and Scott Bertics.  Tyler finished 8th overall in the race, besting his previous time by 15 seconds.

The girls raced in the Championship category rather than Division 3.  The girls were placed in the Championship group by the meet directors most likely due to their appearance in the State finals last year.  Led by Annie Marggraff, the team finished 12th out of 28 teams in the Championship division.  Behind Annie, were Amy Hollshwandner, Tara Bozzini, Kelly Collins and Freshman Caith Wright.  Tara, Kelly and Caith finish times put them in the Acalanes top 10 on the Clovis course.
