In yesterdays action…
The girls volleyball team found themselves down 2 games to none to Alhambra HS, when they mounted a furious comeback to win in five games, with a clutch 15-13 win in game five. Julia Amaral was the sparkplug that helped to ignite the rally. The jv team split to force a third game, where they overcame a 14-10 deficit to win 16-14. Molly Dalziel finished the third game with an exclamation mark, by driving home the final kill. The freshman team made it look easy winning in two games.
The girls tennis team was defeated by Miramonte HS.
In Mondays action…
The girls golf team finished 8th at the NCS Southern Qualifier to advance as a team to Monday’s NCS Championships.
In todays action…
The DFAL water polo season comes to an end tonight as they play at Miramonte HS. The boys game will feature the only undefeated teams in the DFAL, and will determine this year’s league champion. JV girls at 4:00, varsity girls at 5:00, varsity boys at 6:00, jv boys at 7:00.
The cross country team competes in the DFAL Center Meet at Shadow Cliffs Park at 3:30.
Individual standouts…
Girls volleyball – Lisa Carrington had 8 kills and 7 digs, Rachel Cox had 8 kills and 2 aces, and Danielle Grobeck had 4 kills, 4 blocks, and 3 aces.
Girls golf – Elizabeth Schultz shot a 74 to tie for 2nd overall at the NCS Southern Qualifier. Lauren Kim shot 88, and Adrienne Lee 93.
Girls tennis – Tessa Karagocev won her singles match.
