Mar 22 – Girls Lacrosse vs. California

The Acalanes girls lacrosse team left their league play to take on another Division 1 program and to continue picking up invaluable experience against well oiled machines. They lost 15 to 5 but had some bright spots in the loss at California High School.

Katrina Lee put up her first varsity goal after a solid defensive outing with three loose balls controlled in the backfield. Susie Bush continued her offensive streak with two goals, one on a free position shot. Anna DeRoque and Sophie Ross also found the net for the Lady Dons. The girls also showed their growing experience in the circle by almost evenly splitting the draw controls with the Cal Grizzlies — Sophie Ross took home the most with 3, but was joined by Marie Whitmore, Kelsey Wendt, Ketie Welch and Jenna Kisner, demonstrating good team work and a nice distribution of labor.

The Dons return to league play on Friday against Las Lomas at home.
