Mar 16 – Girls Lacrosse Hands Loss to Dougherty Valley

Acalanes Girls Lacrosse won 16-11 against the Dougherty Valley Wildcats last night at home. The Wildcats gave the Dons trouble and came within 1 point at the beginning of the second half, yet the Dons fought hard and were able to extend their lead shortly after that.

On offense Caroline Newman had 1 goal and 2 assists, Caith Wright had 2 goals and 6 draw controls which is outstanding. Ellie Higgins had a fantastic showing with 6 goals and Sophie Ross had 7 goals with 2 assists.

On defense Marie Whitmore caused 2 turnovers and the formidable Alyssa Mueller had a great game.

Our fantastic goalies had 9 saves; 7 for Sabba Jweainat and 2 for Sam Repstad.

Come out tonight for a league match up against Dublin – very appropriate for a St. Patrick’s Day 7pm game.    Go Dons!
